Mark Zuckerberg, Founder and CEO of Facebook, met with families, providers and people in recovery in Dayton, Ohio on Saturday, April 29, 2017. FOA Families of Addicts Founder, Lori Erion was asked to be in attendance. The group talked about how important it is to reduce the stigma that comes from being touched by addiction, and how criticizing or condemning people who have a substance use disorder makes it so much harder for them to seek treatment. See the article by Ryan Hampton, contributing writer, HuffPost, titled Thank You For Facing Addiction, Mark Zuckerberg. Now, Let’s Get To Work.
